Fans in Spurs gear get free drinks!

If you’re a Spurs fan in Central Texas you may want to try a new place to watch the game this week. Fans of the Silver & Black further up I-35 will be gathering to watch the team take on the Chicago Bulls, and some lucky folks will be leaving with brand new merch.
A holiday watch party for the San Antonio Spurs will be underway at Bull and Bowl in Austin on Thursday, December 21, where free drink tickets will be given to fans wearing Spurs gear, according to a WhenWhereWhatAustin post on Instagram.
Eventgoers can also enjoy a Spurs Santa photo op, a mechanical reindeer riding competition, a music set by DJ DMoney, and even have a chance to win a free Victor Wembanyama jersey, along with Spurs game tickets. The event is free and fit for all ages, according to the post.
“We think it’s important to keep the special bond between Austin and San Antonio thriving, and the more we can celebrate one another, the better,” said Rob Asher, Director of Operations at Bull & Bowl. “We will always welcome the Spurs Fan Club and Spurs Watch Parties here at Bull aad Bowl.”
Bull and Bowl is an entertainment hub with an arcade, lanes, pool tables and, if you’re brave enough, a mechanical bull to ride. Asher added that the space hosted its first watch party for the Spurs in 2021.
“As lifelong Texans who grew up watching the Spurs play, we jumped at the opportunity to host them at Bull and Bowl two years ago,” Asher said. “When we built Bull and Bowl, we knew we wanted to create a truly Texas experience for our guests, so we knew our venue would be one that Spurs fans would enjoy watching the team play.”
Drink tickets for Spurs fans will be distributed while supplies last, but those who are interested can also sign up for the Spurs’ Austin fan club to get a gift.
Bull and Bowl is located at 501 W. 6th St., Suite 200, Austin, TX 78701. Doors open for the watch party at 6 p.m. and tip off is at 7 p.m.
