The Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets will meet on Wednesday night. For some, though, Dillon Brooks’ matchup with LeBron James is far more important.

James and Brooks’ relationship dates back a long way. Just a year ago, Brooks called LeBron “old” and said he wouldn’t get respect unless he dropped 40 on him.

The Lakers defeated Brooks’ club in six games during their postseason showdown with the Memphis Grizzlies, his old team.

Even after moving to Houston Rockets this season, Brooks continued to be a trash talker.

Wednesday night, prior to the game, Brooks said he was ready to lock up LeBron.

And on Wednesday, he appeared to take that a little too seriously.

Even before the game started, Kelly Iko of The Athletic captured this amusing scene on camera as Brooks attempted to lock on LeBron. Look at this:

As the most recent installment in the Brooks vs. LeBron dispute, this video is already becoming widely popular on social media.

But for the time being, Brooks is winning because his club is outlasting LeBron’s undermanned Lakers early on.
