The proposal didn’t quite work as intended after George got a key detail wrong

PAUL George has had an All-Star career on the NBA court as one of the best players of his generation.

And he enjoys a strong relationship at home with his wife, Daniela George Rajic, who he met a decade ago.

George, 33, was drafted in 2010 by the Indiana Pacers as a bright young prospect.

He quickly became one of the elite players in the NBA and made his first All-Star Game in 2013.

And that year was also special off the court as he began dating Daniela.

Daniela has been a constant in Paul’s life with his basketball career taking him from the Indiana Pacers to the Oklahoma City Thunder and now the Los Angeles Clippers.

She launched her own swimwear range in partnership with former NBA player Patrick Patterson’s wife Sarah.

And Daniela has built a following of her own with more than 220,000 fans on Instagram.

After seven years of dating, the NBA star popped the question in November 2020.

The couple were on a romantic 30th birthday trip to Mexico when George asked Daniela to marry him.

She said yes, but George got the ring size wrong and it only fit on her pinkie.

Daniela wrote on Instagram: “You may have gotten my ring size wrong but you get everything else right.

“Thank you for making this my best birthday yet. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you and celebrate many more!”

The pair have three children together – two daughters and a son.

They tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in California in June 2022.

The following month, they held another wedding at a villa in Italy.

NBA players such as Patterson, Patrick Beverley, and Karl-Anthony Towns all made the trip across the Atlantic for it.

Daniela summed up their relationship in an Instagram post later that summer.

She wrote: “A month ago I married my best friend in the most beautiful villa and ceremony I could have imagined surrounded by all our family and friends.

“We thank everyone that made it possible, especially my husband who gave me the wedding of my dreams, and every single person that flew halfway across the world to celebrate us.”
