Victor Wembanyama contre les Nuggets

While the Spurs lost against the Nuggets this Sunday evening, that did not stop Victor Wembanyama from delivering a crazy performance. When his teammates manage to serve him well, the Frenchman is capable of anything.

Jeremy Sochan has room for improvement in this area.

No victory for the Spurs, who are now 12 defeats in a row under the leadership of Gregg Popovich. The coach is not in danger, although it must be admitted that this series does not enchant absolutely anyone in Texas.

This roster, however, offered a great performance against the Nuggets this Sunday, with Victor Wembanyama author of a stats line unprecedented in history.

Fans angry with Jeremy Sochan

However, a sequence just before half-time especially had the gift of enraging Internet users. In question ? A quick counterattack from Spurs with Wembanyama and Jeremy Sochan.

The latter had the opportunity to serve the Frenchman in the alley-oop, but preferred to come out with three points for Tre Jones. Fortunately the latter saw Wemby at the right time.

Sochan had a 2v1 on the counterattack with Wemby and swings the ball into the corner instead.

Obviously, Tre Jones being a true leader, he immediately threw a lob for him (Wemby)

Sochan must delay here and pass the ball to Victor, who can easily win his duel straight away.

Fortunately Jones saw it all, but that doesn’t stop a shower of criticism for Sochan. The latter is not a leader and Gregg Popovich must quickly realize this.

I don’t like Sochan’s test as leader. This can be seen as tanking, even if he’s not a bad player.

The leader’s vision can’t be that bad, you can’t miss a 2m24 guy on the counter attack

I almost threw my computer

Yes, Jeremy Sochan can progress as leader… but at the expense of Victor Wembanyama and the victories?

Probably not. When we see the intelligence of Tre Jones, we wonder how long Gregg Popovich will continue like this.
