NBA: ¡Impensable! Stephen Curry se mudaría de Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry is the top star of the Golden State Warriors, an icon, a historical figure who has his place guaranteed in the Basketball Hall of Fame and who since his arrival in the league has been able to leave countless performances to remember that make him in an all-time great.

However, there is a story behind his draft choice that could change the destiny of Golden State, since said team could have traded this player in exchange for Steve Nash, who at that time was playing with the Phoenix Suns.

Suns, led by then-general manager Steve Kerr, almost traded for Stephen Curry on draft night in 2009 | HoopsHype

Curry was a young man who was not much bet on due to his lack of physicality and athletic abilities. What benefited him was his medium and long distance shooting, this aspect being what convinced the Warriors.

But this idea was close to being executed, as the player himself made clear in an interview on the Headliners program, along with his coach, Steve Kerr, who assured that the Suns had the possibility of acquiring him.

Many wonder if this had happened, what would have happened to Curry? Would he have had the same success with the Suns? It is very possible that, if he did, taking into account that the Suns did not have such a promising team at that time and Curry’s development would surely develop more quickly.

Today, the Suns are one of Curry and Golden State’s biggest rivals, so remembering this event should not be completely to the liking of the player, who in the last two seasons has been dominated by this basketball organization.
