NBA – “This player? It ruins the development of Wembanyama”

Victor Wembanyama en conférence de presse pour les Spurs

The matches follow one another and are similar for the Spurs, unable to end this series of defeats.

Victor Wembanyama is good, but that is not the case for all his teammates. One of them was targeted by many supporters.

With 12 defeats in a row, the last of which against Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets, it is clear that the Spurs are in a real negative spiral.

Not a real surprise with such a young squad, although it must be admitted that Gregg Popovich’s men can do better.

At least if everyone plays their position. For the moment, it looks like the coach is off to try multiple experiments.

Wembanyama victim of a teammate?

While Victor Wembanyama is so successful as to make NBA history, Jeremy Sochan is heavily criticized for his performances.

He’s a good player, just used in the wrong position to date, point guard.

Popovich insists on placing Sochan at position 1, which could well have terrible consequences for Wemby.

You can see that even Wemby realizes that Sochan should NOT be the leader.

He calls for the ball the second Tre Jones catches it. It makes the Spurs less fun to watch, and it impacts Wembanyama’s development.

Victor Wembanyama is poorly used and this ruins his development. I don’t know if Sochan as leader makes him “better”.

But you don’t sacrifice Wemby’s development, even a little bit, for Jeremy Sochan.

Jeremy Sochan single-handedly ruins Wemby’s rookie year

We dare to hope that Sochan gives his all in this role of leader, he who would undoubtedly prefer to be used on the wing.

But Popovich persists with this tactic, while Tre Jones continues to be relegated to the bench despite having a perfect understanding with Victor. Another way of saying the Spurs are determined to lose games.

Is Jeremy Sochan spoiling Victor Wembanyama’s rookie season?

Maybe not, but we hope that Gregg Popovich will quickly make some adjustments. There is no debate that the Frenchman is a better player with Tre Jones alongside him.
