NBA – The madness of a franchise about Michael Jordan: “They stopped…

La légende NBA des Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan

To say that Michael Jordan tortured franchises and players during his career would be an understatement. In fact, some are still experiencing the repercussions years after the Chicago guard retired! A Western franchise in particular recently made a decision that was as lunar as it was viral.

Who were Michael Jordan’s biggest opponents? At first glance, three franchises in particular quickly come to mind. In the East, the Hall of Famer often fought huge battles against the Celtics and the Pistons who long stood in his way at the start of his career. As for the Western Conference, however, it seems impossible to name another franchise than the Jazz.

After all, the team led by the legendary Stockton-Malone duo crossed swords with him twice in the Finals, a feat no other squad can boast of. Except that he won each time, depriving the city of Salt Lake City of its first coronation. And the resentment towards the back still seems significant since the franchise has stopped selling Air Jordan products bearing his image:

It’s confirmed: Jazz has stopped selling this t-shirt.

There is no need to explain why the Mormons made such a decision. The 1997 and 1998 Finals will forever be remembered in Salt Lake City, unfortunately for the wrong reasons. The same goes for “The Last Shot” signed by MJ during the second confrontation which ended the debates during Game 6… Fans of No. 23 can in any case only chuckle at this affair:

Send them to Chicago, they’ll sell like hotcakes there.

Michael Jordan visibly represents a trauma that the Jazz and its fans have still not overcome, almost thirty years after their confrontation in the Finals. This shows the extent to which His Airness could have a psychological impact on his opponents… But he should not have to complain about this small financial loss.
