NBA – “The last time Curry did this, Tony Parker was still playing and Kevin Durant was…”
For ordinary people, Stephen Curry is a player with excessive skill. And yet, the impossible happened during the match against the Blazers this Sunday, since the last time the Chef had such a catastrophic evening, the league showed yet another completely different face.
In great form since the start of the season, Stephen Curry was already in the discussions for the MVP. However, since his injury and the series of defeats for the Warriors, the situation has changed a lot.
If his teammates are mostly to blame for their disappointing performances and/or their behavior, the Chef remained almost blameless… except perhaps since this weekend.
Opposed to the Blazers this Sunday, the Dubs had to win against a theoretically weaker opponent. However, the 2022 champions had to fight until the very last moments to achieve success (118-114).
And against all odds, the one who had the most trouble was the double MVP who had one of his worst evenings in a long time with a 0/8 from three points:
Stephen Curry’s catastrophic performance
The last time Curry went three-less in a regular season game:
— Harden was averaging 36.1 PPG
— Wade was in his final season
— Parker was a Hornet
— KD was a Warrior pic.twitter.com/YLerMta58t— StatMuse (@statmuse) December 18, 2023
The last time Curry didn’t make a three-pointer in a regular season game:
James Harden averaged 36.1 points per game
Dwyane Wade was playing his final season
Tony Parker was a Hornet
Kevin Durant was a Warrior
Finally, this series which had lasted since 2018 came to an end but on top of that, the Splash Brother was only able to find the net twice during the match.
In total, the former Davidson player only accumulated 7 small points at 16.7% shooting success (2/12) in his team’s narrow victory, accompanied by 8 assists.
Fortunately for the Californians, on this nightmarish day for Baby Face, Klay Thompson responded and allowed the Californian franchise to defeat Portland thanks to his 28 points at 68.8% shooting (11/16).
It’s an evening that Stephen Curry will no doubt quickly want to forget. Having not converted a single three-point shot during the match against the Blazers, the superstar achieved an unprecedented poor performance, since the last time this happened, our national Tony Parker was still active in the NBA…
