NBA – The controversial action between Sochan and Wembanyama for the Spurs: “It’s not…

Jeremy Sochan et Victor Wembanyama

The Spurs are going through a difficult time with 11 defeats in a row, partly due to the placement of Jeremy Sochan.

The latter is continually used as a leader, a position far from suiting him. One action against the Warriors sums it up perfectly.

In complete decline within the Western Conference, the Spurs certainly did not expect to experience such slump to start this season.

The squad is young, of course, but Victor Wembanyama and his partners are capable of much better on the floor.

One of the major problems, however, is identified by the supporters, and this concerns Jeremy Sochan.

The major problem for Spurs today

Convinced that his interior can evolve in the lead, Gregg Popovich decided to trust Sochan in the role of distributor.

The problem and not the least? The person himself is not convinced by this experience. He makes too many mistakes as a leader and struggles to find his teammates, like Victor Wembanyama.

Here again, Sochan’s pass is completely missed and lacks precision.

Wembanyama, although in a good position to score afterwards, can only regret his teammate’s gesture. This is unfortunately a habit in this campaign, proof that Sochan is perhaps not in his place as a playmaker.

One of the worst entry passes I’ve ever seen

One of the worst passes to enter the racket that I have seen

We can find several examples like that. A user shared another sequence where Sochan struggles to maintain control of the ball, forcing Wembanyama to try something to save possession and score.

Sochan can’t handle the ball pressure so the offense can run its set. Barely gets into an emergency ball screen and Wemby has to try and bail out the offense. This isn’t sustainable. pic.twitter.com/axFYQ9ZpbF

Sochan cannot handle the pressure on the ball in attack. He has to call an emergency screen and Wemby has to scramble to save the attack. This is not sustainable.

Jeremy Sochan as playmaker is an increasingly dubious experiment.

Gregg Popovich should stop him as quickly as possible… unless the Spurs’ goal is to string together defeats. We should have an answer quickly.
