NBA – Steph Curry’s painful memories:
“I got bea:ten. This player literally…

La superstar NBA des Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry

With his youthful features and smile often seen on the court, Stephen Curry doesn’t really come across as the prototype of an NBA tough guy.

However, he admitted that he got into a fight… and quickly regretted it.

If there are so many fans who can sympathize with him, it is above all because his physique is relatively similar to that of a mortal.

Indeed, Stephen Curry is not taller than 1m90 and cannot really be considered a mountain of muscles.

However, this did not stop him from becoming one of the best players in NBA history… nor from daring to take on the giants he faced.

Steph Curry’s painful memories against the Pacers

For years now, Curry has terrorized the league with his play and rattled opposing defenders, even the tallest among them.

On the other hand, the latter really has no reason to show fear in front of him when tempers flare up.

Here’s what the star point guard has understood since his 4th season in the league, as he tells it on the SmartLess podcast:

I was beaten. I think it’s still on YouTube. It was a game against Indiana in 2013.

Roy Hibbert and David Lee, my teammates at the time, were warming up under the basket.

It’s a war between the big guys and in these cases, the guys stay behind and the little guys stay out.

That’s a bit of a rule in the tournament. But I, like a fool, wanted to participate and protect my comrades.

When they were face to face, chest to chest, I ran behind Roy Hibbert, who must have been six feet tall and weighed 125kg.

I tried to grab him from behind and pull him away from his teammates.

When I tell you, I’m like a fly… He actually sent me flying to the corner when I was under the basket! All this with just a gesture of the left hand.

Chef’s troubles don’t stop there:

Then I got excited so I stood up and acted like I wanted more.

That’s when David West, who was like a henchman on the floor, gave me some kind of racket and put me in my place.

He held me with one arm while suffering from a concussion.

An epic story that is faithful to reality, as evidenced by these images of famous scenes:

Steph Curry was fearless in his younger years and paid a heavy price for it in Indiana.

Compared to Roy Hibbert and David West, he learned a valuable lesson there, which is to no longer get entangled in internal disputes!
