NBA – LeBron James honest about the end-of-match controversy: “I heard…
Hero of the Lakers’ victory with his 31 points, LeBron James was also involved in a big controversy at the end of the match. If the Suns do not take off, the King wanted to clarify the situation. For him, everything was absolutely legal.
While we might have feared general disinterest, everyone plays the game, which results in intense and spectacular clashes. Between the Pacers/Celtics duel which ended with a 4-point action from the brilliant Tyrese Haliburton or this Tuesday’s meeting between the Lakers and the Suns, it was the viewers who were spoiled.
LeBron James discusses end-of-game controversy
Major architect of the qualification of the Purple and Gold, LeBron James was involved in a huge controversy in the last seconds of the match. The referees granted him a time-out when his team did not have the ball, which is completely prohibited. At a press conference, he returned to this affair which provoked reactions.
I had the opportunity to pass to Austin Reaves, and I think Devin Booker pushed him a little bit. This made AR trip, and as soon as I saw that he was starting to lose his balance, I started the time-out gesture with my hands and I shouted to the referee who was the most close to me. I heard the criticism, but I started the request first.
LeBron James has heard the criticism, but he doesn’t necessarily understand it. He believes he started his timeout request before Austin Reaves lost the ball, and that’s why the referees granted it. And then, even if the Suns had recovered the cook, nothing says that they would have won. Anthony Davis was in Olympic form defensively.
This is a 6’11 big shutting down an All NBA guard for *eight* dribbles…..then making a timely rotation to force a shotclock violation

Qualified for the semi-finals in Las Vegas, LeBron James didn’t really have time to devote to this false controversy. He believes he asked for a time out on time, so he does not question the victory of his team.
