Favorites for the grand final of the NBA tournament, the Lakers assumed their status this Saturday evening against the Pacers. Anthony Davis was monstrous, while LeBron James had a big game. He wanted to celebrate in the locker room… a little too much for some people’s tastes.
The first edition of the NBA full-season tournament is over. This “cup” was ultimately a great success, with close matches and players clearly motivated by the idea of potentially winning $500,000.
But this reward will go to the Lakers, who won against the Pacers this Saturday.
The final score? 123-109 for Darvin Ham’s men.
The Lakers and LeBron James mocked
Anthony Davis delivered one of the best performances of the season during this final.
He dropped 41 points on the back of the Pacers, in addition to 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. A real carnage, even if it was LeBron James who was named MVP of the tournament.
The King delivered a good score with 24 units, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
The @Lakers hoist the first-ever #NBACup ‼️

This is a new title for the Lakers, or at least the first in NBA history with this format.
The Angelinos celebrated in style, but let’s just say that many didn’t appreciate it. Especially when James pulled out the champagne…

Did the Lakers win the NBA championship? No, but it seems like it when you see these celebrations. The supporters were quick to laugh:
this is embarrassing

It’s embarassing
When they don’t win this year, this video will be even more hilarious

Champagne is best in June
The Lakers are celebrating their victory and nothing could be more normal, especially when we see the intensity of the competition.
From there to celebrating like a ring in June? Let’s just say that not everyone likes it…
