Steph Curry et Green réagissent à la grande nouvelle pour Klay Thompson !

Eager to obtain a big contract next summer, Klay Thompson is now playing for his future at the Warriors. His level is worrying, to the point where even his own franchise doubts his future. A disaster scenario for the person concerned.

Long considered one of the best shooters in the league, Klay Thompson has largely lost his luster over the months. Old age, perhaps, but we can also and above all blame two major injuries which had a real impact on his performance.

Even if the rear refuses to admit it, it is clear that the Splash Brother can no longer shoot as well as before.

This Tuesday evening, against the Suns, Thompson was even benched by Steve Kerr. While the coach used to put the number 11 back on the field, he decided to trust the young people.

An important change which clearly shows that the Warriors staff no longer has any patience with Klay. And it is his future in San Francisco that is called into question.

Klay Thompson away from the Warriors?

A free agent in a few months, Thompson hoped the negotiations would be formalities. Except that he is asking for too much money… and that the Warriors withdrew the offer according to Shams Charania.

The reason is unknown, but we imagine that it is related to the player’s worrying level. A departure in 2024 is more relevant than ever.

Shams on Klay Thompson: “It was explained to me that the Warriors offered a 2-year deal with around $48 million for an extension to Klay Thompson before the season, but today there is no more deal.”

Can Thompson reassure himself about his condition and get his contract? Unlikely. Draymond Green was considered irreplaceable, but Klay is no longer so today.

Not when we see certain players on the bench shine. A departure to another destination should not take place before 2024, but this is clearly the trend for the various insiders.

Klay Thompson lost the Warriors’ offer, believing he deserved even more. A bad decision from the back, more than ever at the start. We imagine that it will be difficult for the supporters to digest.
