The big fear the Lakers had to go through in Portland: “Tension..

La superstar NBA des Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James

Visiting the Moda Center on Friday, the Lakers won a welcome and relatively easy victory (107-95).

However, they did not approach this meeting against the Blazers in the best way, they who were almost affected by a tragedy.

Although announced to be within their reach, their previous duel against the Blazers turned out to be tighter than expected.

Then deprived of LeBron James, the Lakers had indeed struggled to get rid of their stingy opponents at the Crypto.com Arena (116-110). As such, they knew that they could not afford the slightest relaxation this Friday, when traveling to Portland for the revenge.

Lakers evacuated after shooting at Moda Center

With a LeBron in the game this time and an Anthony Davis recovered after his setbacks against the Kings, the Lakers folded the matter much more easily than five days earlier.

Once again victorious over Chauncey Billups’ men (107-95), they thus concluded a morally trying trip. KOIN News reveals the fear they may have felt before the kickoff of this match:

Shots were fired inside a portable toilet near the Moda Center, prompting the evacuation of the Los Angeles Lakers arena on Friday afternoon, the Portland Police Bureau reports.

A most anxiety-provoking situation for the franchise, which would have resulted from a simple argument between a man and a woman.

According to information provided by the authorities, the man barricaded himself in the famous toilets after having fired the shot and missed his target.

The woman therefore emerged safe and sound from this scene, which fortunately did not cause any damage or injury.

The Lakers, for their part, were temporarily placed in a “safe zone”, before returning to the normal court for their warm-up.

Despite this happy ending, Darvin Ham’s men could have been marked by this episode on the Blazers floor.

However, contrary to their habits at the start of the campaign, they immediately took the lead during the match and never gave it back.

Enough to maintain their invincibility in the In-Season Tournament (3-0) and find a positive record over the entire season (7-6).

Before showing seriousness against the Blazers, the Lakers prepared for this match in an unusual and somewhat distressing way. Fortunately, everyone emerged unscathed from the incident near the Moda Center.
