Shots were fired inside a portable toilet near the Moda Center, prompting the evacuation of the Los Angeles Lakers arena on Friday afternoon, the Portland Police Bureau reports.

A most anxiety-provoking situation for the franchise, which would have resulted from a simple argument between a man and a woman.

According to information provided by the authorities, the man barricaded himself in the famous toilets after having fired the shot and missed his target.

The woman therefore emerged safe and sound from this scene, which fortunately did not cause any damage or injury.

The Lakers, for their part, were temporarily placed in a “safe zone”, before returning to the normal court for their warm-up.

Despite this happy ending, Darvin Ham’s men could have been marked by this episode on the Blazers floor.

However, contrary to their habits at the start of the campaign, they immediately took the lead during the match and never gave it back.

Enough to maintain their invincibility in the In-Season Tournament (3-0) and find a positive record over the entire season (7-6).
