NBA – Concern about Wembanyama at Spurs: “What’s happening is not… Spurs determined…

Gregg Popovich et Victor Wembanyama en interview pour les Spurs

Despite good averages and a very strong impression since his first match, Victor Wembanyama could undoubtedly aim a little higher. The Spurs are a great organization for him, but the roster leaves something to be desired so far. Some Internet users are worried.

With 13 defeats already this season, including a current run of 11, Spurs have been extremely disappointing so far. This was to be expected with a fairly young roster, but some of Gregg Popovich’s choices fail to convince the supporters. As a highlight? Jeremy Sochan at point guard, almost as if San Antonio wanted to find a new Boris Diaw.

Spurs determined… to lose matches?

Sochan is clearly not comfortable in this position and the results confirm it.

His duo with Wembanyama is not effective, quite the opposite of that with Tre Jones. The latter, however, continues to polish the bench in place of Sochan. Brett Usher shared his concern on Twitter this Friday that all of this could serve one purpose: tanking.

They’re SO much better with Tre Jones on the court, and that absolutely includes alongside Sochan (playing his natural position)

“I was behind the Sochan experiment as a leader, but now I wonder who it really benefits.

This is definitely not good for Victor, and Jeremy is clearly struggling a lot. If this is not its role in the long term, what exactly are we doing? Isn’t Point Sochan just a glorified tank commander? »

“They are so much better with Tre Jones on the floor, and that includes Sochan (who plays his natural position)”

If Jones does not enter the 5 major, one wonders if the Spurs do not simply want to lose.

History of recovering a big draft choice at the end of this campaign. It’s quite possible, but is it really a good idea if it comes at the expense of the development of Wembanyama? Probably not.

It benefits their draft position

Whether Victor Wembanyama likes it or not, it looks like Spurs want to lose games.

In any case, this is what Internet users think when we see this stubbornness with Jeremy Sochan as leader, especially when the solution is found in the roster with Tre Jones. Pay attention to what follows.
