NBA – Amazed, Austin Reaves cashes Victor Wembanyama: “He’s…

Austin Reaves, arrière des Lakers, et Victor Wembanyama, intérieur des Spurs

For the first time in his young career, Victor Wembanyama faced the Lakers this Wednesday.

If LeBron James was absent, the Spurs number 1 was still able to compete against several big names. Like Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves expressed his admiration for the Frenchman.

There are games that matter more than others in a season, and those against the Lakers are always one of them.

The Los Angeles franchise is perhaps the most popular in the world, there are always very talented players in the squad, so obviously, every NBA star dreams of putting out a big performance against the Purple and Gold.

Victor Wembanyama is no exception, so this Wednesday, he pulled out all the stops to stand up to Anthony Davis in the paint.

With 30 points, 13 rebounds, 6 blocks, 3 interceptions and 2 assists, the young Spurs prodigy did everything possible to stop the bleeding and bring his team to victory. Unfortunately it was a little too short.

Although he will have to wait before taking on LeBron James, who is absent for this trip to Texas, the Frenchman has still attracted the attention of several opponents.

Anthony Davis was rather complimentary about him, as was Austin Reaves, the other big name of the Lakers. The back was rather surprised by certain actions of his opponent in the evening.

What is certain is that he is unique… In the first or second quarter I thought I had an open layup and he came out of nowhere to stick the ball against the boards.

Not only that, he was good all match. He can shoot from afar, he moves well, he is huge. He has a bright future in this league I’m sure.

Austin Reaves only needed one meeting to approve what has been said about Victor Wembanyama for months.

He highlighted his obvious defensive qualities, but also his way of moving in attack. It must be said that after eating a huge counter at the start of the match, he could only give him credit.

Austin Reaves is very honest, he was amazed by Victor Wembanyama and his athletic skills. Offensively, defensively, he showed interesting things in this first shock against the Lakers.
