Chris Paul joined the Warriors this summer and finds himself on the team of his ex-rival, Stephen Curry. After their victory against the Kings this Friday, he created a buzz with his comments about the Chef’s XXL performance.
The Warriors faced the Kings for their second game of the season, and we could definitely see that they remain their nemesis. This Californian derby won by the Dubs (122-115) reminded Sacramento fans of painful memories. Because as in the first round of the last playoffs, a certain Stephen Curry once again disgusted them by scoring no less than… 41 points:

Steph Curry rolls on the Kings, Chris Paul’s epic reaction
As in Game 7 of their recent postseason series, the Warriors got the better of the Kings at home. However, this time, they were able to rely on a new weapon who arrived against all expectations this summer, namely Chris Paul. Author of a double-double during this match (10 points, 12 assists), the ex-Phoenix leader had reason to rejoice in no longer being a victim of the exploits of the double MVP.
At the end of the game, he praised his new teammate and expressed his relief on NBC Sports:
Man, he was really hot. I keep saying that before, I was the one who had to defend on him! He’s so unselfish, he always plays fair, and we needed him tonight. These are two teams who know each other well and I noticed it before the match given our level of concentration.
Most fans could hardly believe their eyes the day the Point God was transferred to the Bay. And yet, he who was used to being subjected to Steph’s brilliance now considers him a brother in arms. After being on the wrong side for so long, he can finally savor, following a 4-point action from the Chef that felt like déjà vu for him, which he commented on in the post-match conference:
I have to say this is something I’ve seen before, but we’re in the same camp now. It’s really cool that the defense doesn’t even help and you can have easy layups when you get into the paint. It’s also fun for someone like me, who distributes the ball, to play with guys like him and Klay. Every time, I feel like it’s going to fit.
“Yesterday’s enemies are tomorrow’s friends.” Chris Paul is still taking the temperature of the Warriors, but seems very happy to have a hot Stephen Curry no longer against him, but at his side…
