NBA – After a failed debut, the first Concussion change for Wembanyama’s Spurs

Victor Wembanyama et Gregg Popovich

With their record of 3-20, the Spurs find themselves in a pretty difficult situation. We are probably expecting changes to the roster soon, especially with the February deadline. A first player is targeted by the rumors.

Despite the excellent contribution of Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs are in great difficulty in winning a simple basketball match. A real problem for the supporters, who were undoubtedly hoping for more victories at this stage of the season. It’s a long rebuilding process in San Antonio, with Gregg Popovich eager to test many lineups.

Trade in sight at Spurs?

Victor Wembanyama, for example, starts at pivot now, while Zach Collins has moved to the bench. Jeremy Sochan has regained his natural place at position 4, but everything can change in the more or less near future. According to Marc J. Spears, Keldon Johnson is a name to watch before the February deadline. A first trade is perhaps emerging in Texas for one of the holders.

Keldon Johnson is a name to watch in the market, according to Marc J. Spears.

“Do you know who I am at Spurs? Keldon Johnson, I keep hearing about him something like, “I don’t know if he gets along well with this group going forward and he might come off the bench.”

A rumor with surprising timing since Johnson comes out of a game against the Lakers with 28 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. His averages over the year? 17.2 units, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists. An interesting contribution for the 24-year-old, especially since he was drafted in 29th position in 2019.

But we also know that the NBA is ruthless and that the Spurs must start making adjustments so as not to end the year with 3 victories in their pocket. Johnson is therefore a name to follow closely in the coming weeks.

Good but too irregular

We may be heading towards a first trade for the Spurs. Keldon Johnson is a target to follow, even if we imagine that San Antonio perhaps has other trades in sight between now and the February deadline. Victor Wembanyama will soon have new teammates.
