LeBron James' Son Bronny Is Moving Out of Dad's Shadow

“Man O Man”: Dad LeBron James Goes Gaga Over “Tough” Bronny Clip, 6 Days Before Potential USC Debut

It has been almost five months since LeBron James’ older son, Bronny James, suffered a cardiac arrest during a practice session at USC’s Galen Center. It was a gut-wrenching moment for the James family as they were uncertain about Bronny’s health. Fortunately, Bronny recovered fully from the shocking incident and received clearance to continue all basketball activities three and a half months later. And according to a recent update, Bronny’s USC debut might be just 6 days away.

While the world awaits Bronny James’ highly anticipated college debut, dad LeBron James went gaga over a “tough” Bronny mixtape that is making the rounds on social media.

Bronny James might make his USC debut this week as the USC Trojans face Long Beach State in their next game. Awaiting Bronny’s highly anticipated debut, King James shared a mixtape of his son’s best high school moments on his Instagram story and wrote, “Wow this is TOO TOUGH!! Man o Man!!” Bronny played shooting guard for Sierra Canyon High School and averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in his senior year. They even selected him to play in the McDonald’s All-American game after leading his team to a 23-11 record.

It is still uncertain if Bronny will suit up for the Trojans in the next game as he is yet to be cleared by the USC medical staff. USC head coach Andy Enfield and the USC medical staff do not want to rush Bronny’s recovery, considering the severity of his cardiac arrest and how it can affect his overall health in the future. Enfield wants Bronny to get in game shape and have full contact practices before he throws him into a college game.

Will Bronny share the court with his father in the NBA?

Bronny James will be eligible to put his name into the 2024 NBA draft after he plays one season with the USC Trojans. The 19-year-old is a high-ranked prospect and has a great work ethic, which will do wonders for him when he makes it to the pros. Even former NBA player Jay Williams admired Bronny’s professionalism and work ethic after watching him practice for the Trojans. “There was a workman-like approach to how he operated. You could tell he’s been around professionals.” Williams said.

LeBron James has expressed his desire to play with his son in the NBA, and he might be only one year away from fulfilling that dream. That will be a historic moment as LeBron and Bronny will be the first father-son duo to play in the NBA at the same time. Meanwhile, LeBron will look to keep his promise and show up to the next USC game if Bronny makes his debut against Long Beach State this week.
