During the last few days, the player who has been talked about the most in the National Basketball Association (NBA) environment has not been LeBron James, but Victor Wenbamyama, and he does not even play in the competition.
At just 18 years of age, the French center came to the United States to show why he is one of the top candidates to be the first selection in the 2023 Draft, and in the games that his team, Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92, against the G-League Ignite, where the future number two, Scoot Henderson, plays, showed his best repertoire.
37 points on 20 shots attempted, 7 of 11 on three-pointers, five blocks and four rebounds were Wembanyama’s letter of introduction to the NBA world, in a performance that was analyzed by LeBron James, in a very particular way.

It was at the press conference after the loss of the Los Angeles Lakers against the Phoenix Suns, 115-119 in Las Vegas, the King was asked about the young French talent, and he responded by labeling him as an “alien.”
“Everyone’s been a unicorn the last few years, but he’s more like an alien,” LeBron said of Wembanyama, adding, “I’m sure he’s a generational talent.”
