Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Shocking Comment After Bucks-Celtics Game

Giannis Antetokounmpo met with the media after the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Boston Celtics.

On Wednesday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks faced off against the Celtics in Boston.

The Bucks lost the game by a score of 119-116, and seven players on the Celtics scored in double-digits.

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo had 21 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes of playing time for the Bucks.

After the game, Antetokounmpo met with the media and was asked if he has been able to watch 2023 first-overall pick Victor Wembanyama this season.

Antetokounmpo gave a surprising answer: “I don’t watch basketball. No, I never watch basketball.

The only time I watch basketball is when I sit on the bench and watch the game. I don’t watch highlights, I don’t watch games, I just play basketball, to be honest with you.”

Antetokounmpo is one of the greatest players of all time and led the Bucks to the 2021 NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns.

He is currently averaging 29.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 60.1% from the field and 23.3% from the three-point range in 14 games.

With the loss to the Celtics, the Bucks are now 10-5 in their first 15 games, which has them as the third seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 7-3 in their last ten games and 4-4 in the eight games they have played on the road away from Milwaukee.

The Bucks will play their next game on Friday evening when they host Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards.
