Embracing Smoke From Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard Issues “Humble” Warning to Pacers Star After Suffering Elimination

Tyrese Haliburton put up another historic performance tonight to eliminate Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo from the in-season tournament. Milwaukee and Indiana faced off in Las Vegas to fight for a spot in the tournament finals. Although the Bucks were heavy favorites to move on to the next round, Indiana pulled off a huge upset by beating them 128-119. Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton even emulated Damian Lillard’s iconic signature celebration to add insult to injury.

Lillard responded to the young Pacers star stealing his move and issued a stern warning to the 23-year-old after getting eliminated by him.

Damian Lillard responds to Tyrese Haliburton

Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton sealed tonight’s game with a dagger three-pointer over Brook Lopez in the final minute of the game. The shot gave Indiana an 8-point cushion, and they cruised to victory. Haliburton created a buzz in the NBA world after he emulated Damian Lillard’s iconic “Dame Time” celebration following his clutch shot. Although Lillard did not have any problem with Haliburton stealing his move, he responded to the Pacers star with a warning, “When you having your moment, it is important to be careful and to be humble… coz you just never know how the tables turn and when they gonna turn.”

Tyrese Haliburton is on his dream run as a player. He has been a superstar for the Pacers this season, and his performance is getting better with each game. Haliburton’s performance in the knockout stages of the in-season tournament is proof that he does not shy away from big moments. The 23-year-old is one win away from winning his first hardware in the NBA.

Lillard also said that Haliburton copying his move was a sign of respect, knowing Dame has been doing it to his opponents for years.

What’s next for Damian Lillard and Co.?

Despite the elimination from the in-season tournament after tonight’s loss, the Milwaukee Bucks don’t see it as the end of the world. Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo have a bigger goal in mind of winning the NBA Championship. With a 15-7 record, the Bucks are second in the Eastern Conference, and they have a legitimate shot at the title. Despite the loss, Giannis and Lillard played great tonight.

The Greek Freak scored a monster double-double with 37 points and 10 rebounds. And Lillard also gave an all-around performance with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. The duo’s chemistry keeps getting stronger with each game, and if it wasn’t for Tyrese Haliburton’s historic performance, they would have been heading to the finals. Damian Lillard and Co. need to put tonight’s loss in the rearview mirror and focus on bringing home another championship.
