Draymond Green Apologizes to Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic in Surprising Turn of Events

Draymond Green‘s done it again; he got his third ejection this season on Tuesday night during the 119-116 losing game against the Suns. In the third quarter, Draymond grappled with the Suns’ center Jusuf Nurkić for position and swung his hand on Jusuf’s face, immediately knocking him down to the floor.

Following, that he clarified the entire situation. His statement was shared on X.

Green’s suspension would be tough for him to evade this time. It’s already his third ejection this season. Previously, both Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and teammate Stephen Curry stated that one more such instance on Green’s part could heavily impact the team.

However, much to fans’ surprise, he apologized to Nurkic. Here is his statement

, “He was pulling my hip and I was swinging away to sell the call and made contact with him. As you know, I’m not one to apologize for things I meant to do, but I do apologize to Jusuf. I didn’t intend to hit him.”

Furthermore, considering the previous tumult with Gobert, it’s foreseeable how the NBA authorities will respond to this situation. There are already rumors of suspension making rounds. While he did apologize for his actions, the player had a different opinion about his last ejection.

Draymond Green’s response to the incident with Gobert

Green was previously ejected during the third quarter of a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Green was seen putting Gobert in a headlock during a heated exchange involving Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels.

About the incident, he said, “I don’t live my life with regrets. Like I said before, I’ll come to a teammate’s defense anytime that I’m in a position to come to a teammate’s defense.” He added, “That’s what a team is. You stick together through the good and the bad and I take that to heart. I take pride in being a good teammate.
