Cardi B keeps making history.

The 26-year-old rapper earned Album Of The Year at the 2019  BET Awards making her the first ever female rapper to earn the honor.

She was recognized for her work on triple-platinum album Invasion Of Privacy at the star-studded event held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday.

Cardi was the most nominated act of the evening with seven nominations, including two for the top prize – video of the year – with her hits Money and Please Me, with Bruno Mars. She also won Female Rapper Of The Year.

The evening featured some lively performances from Lizzo, Lil Nas X and Mary J. Blige, as well as emotional tributes to Nipsey Hussle and John Singleton.

She also competed for best female hip-hop artist, the viewer’s choice award and album of the year with her Grammy-winning major-label debut, Invasion of Privacy.

The Please Me artist opened the show in a performance with husband Offset, which included a sultry lap dance.

The couple and their backup dancers matched in emerald green, bringing the audience to their feet with an energetic opening number.

Rihanna took the stage to pay a beautiful tribute to Mary J. Blige, who was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Her speech was followed by a video tribute to the Strength of a Woman artist, featuring Diddy, Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith.

After giving her acceptance speech, Blige came out in all white to perform a medley of some of her best hits, including No More Drama and Real Love, complete with a musical intro by Diddy and a surprise appearances by Lil Kim and Method Man.
