7x NBA Champ Dissects Stephen Curry’s Warriors, Unveiling Reason Behind Struggling Season: “His Body Is Just Too Beat Up”

The Warriors (9-11) started the season smoothly. But, they are currently struggling to make a solid standing among the highly competitive teams that have been seen throughout the season. Coming off a narrow defeat at the hands of the Clippers (113-112), they will now host the Sixers in what will be their first face-off of the season.

It doesn’t take an expert to notice that the Warriors are a star-studded team. With so much talent in the team, it is quite difficult to wrap our heads around the issue at hand: why are they not doing good? Robert Horry, former NBA star and 7x NBA Champion, has a diagnosis for the Dubs’ woes.

Klay Thompson is at his wits’ end

Klay Thompson, one of the Splash Brothers alongside Stephen Curry is showing signs of slowing down. With an average of 15.7 points per game, he has not been as dominating as before. Robert Horry, in his show the Big Shot Bob Podcast, admits that Thompson is one of his favorite players, but “he can’t play each and every night his body is just too beat up.” Now, Thompson has been in and out of the team’s injury list since last season, so it is only fair to acknowledge that his body has taken a lot of beating.

Moreover, Bob points out that the way everyone is out to provoke Draymond into getting himself a tech foul just adds to the “mayhem.” But what’s more concerning is the fact that the Warriors have a blend of young and veteran players, and although the young recruits are talented, there seems to be a sort of disconnect. “The Warriors have a certain type of finesse, the way they play with, and those other guys don’t really know how to do it,” Bob adds.

Stephen Curry needs to bring the team together

That’s not all, however, as Bob calls out to Steph to bring the team together in some sort of “team meeting.” The Dub Nation has plummeted to 5th position in the Pacific Division, and at this point, it will require a miracle for them to climb up that ladder again, considering Draymond keeps his cool, Thompson brings back his touch, and Steph remains healthy.

Is this the end of the road for the Warriors? Do you think they can make a comeback and put themselves back on track in a run for the playoffs? Share your thoughts!
