After the failure of the 2023 World Cup, Team USA should return to the Paris Olympic Games with a powerful squad. A new star also suggested that she also wanted to be there… except that this revelation earned her violent mockery from fans.

Enough is enough for the United States. For the first time in more than 50 years, Team USA finished two consecutive World Championships without a single medal, falling to fourth place this summer in Asia. The tournament may not have been a priority for the American selection for years, but it is nonetheless a big humiliation and a sign that the rest of the world is catching up.

As a result, it is a monstrous team which should go to play the 2024 Olympics in Paris. LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard have all already announced that they plan to go to France. Some players present at this summer’s World Cup will also want to clean up this terrible affront, starting with Jaren Jackson Jr. The Grizzlies pivot would indeed like to do it again:

On paper, JJJ is a reigning Defender of the Year, capable of protecting his racket well but also of moving out of the way in attack to shoot from mid-distance. Except that his participation in the CDM was a total fiasco to the point where he was considered one of the major weak points of the squad. Suffice to say that for the fans, it is better not to bring him back to the Olympic Games and the reactions were therefore harsh:

If it were up to Jaren Jackson Jr., he would play for Team USA again at the 2024 Olympics. Except that there is probably little chance that we will find many players present in Asia on the roster sent in Paris, apart from Anthony Edwards. The leaders will surely want to send basketball players of an even greater caliber.
