Mark Zuckerberg’s Insane Real Estate Portfolio—You Won’t Believe His Mega-Mansions!

Jesse Eisenberg, the actor who played Mark Zuckerberg in ‘The Social Network,’ wishes to distance himself from Zuckerberg’s contentious actions, especially those impacting safety and misinformation. Despite criticism, Zuckerberg’s net worth has surged to $248 billion, with significant investments in real estate, including properties in Palo Alto, Hawaii, and Lake Tahoe.

Net worth of Mark Zuckerberg: The lavish mansions the Meta owner has under his name

Mark Zuckerberg is in the news again, and this time – he has been ‘disowned’! By the actor who played his character on-screen in an Oscar-winning film!
Jesse Eisenberg isn’t quite keen on harboring on his reel Zuckerberg self! ‘The Social Network’ star recently revealed during an interview that he would very much like to be kept separate from Mark Zuckerberg’s narrative.
The ‘A Real Pain’ creator recently appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today program and explained that he doesn’t think of himself as being associated with the Meta chief executive and Facebook co-founder just because he once portrayed him in the Oscar-winning 2010 film, The Social Network.

In Jesse’s words, “I haven’t been following [Zuckerberg’s] life trajectory, partly because I don’t… when I think of myself as associated with somebody like that, it’s not like I played a great golfer and now people think I’m a great golfer. It’s this guy that’s doing things that are problematic. Taking away fact-checking and safety concerns, making people who are already threatened in this world more threatened.”
Although Zuckerberg has been receiving a lot of criticism for the recent policies Meta platforms have adopted, his net worth has only grown. Take a look at all the assets the Meta CEO owns.

Mark Zuckerberg:

Mark Zuckerberg is an American businessman who co-founded the social media service Facebook and its parent company Meta Platforms, of which he is the chairman, chief executive officer, and controlling shareholder. Zuckerberg has been the subject of multiple lawsuits regarding the creation and ownership of the website as well as issues such as user privacy.

Net worth:

As of February 5th, 2025 – Mark Zuckerberg is now $40 billion richer this year after Meta stock continued its record winning streak, closing higher for the 12th consecutive session.

Shares in the Facebook and Instagram owner have risen more than 17% this year on investor enthusiasm for its AI ambitions. Meta has added $235 billion to its value in the 12 sessions, valuing the company at almost $1.8 trillion.
Zuckerberg is now worth $248 billion — just $12 billion behind Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who has added $21 billion to his net worth this year, as per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
The Meta CEO took second place for the first time in October 2024 when he was worth just $206 billion. Since then Tesla stock has surged, helping Musk widen the gap between his nearest rival.

Assets:

As per Business Insider, a good chunk of Zuckerberg’s wealth goes towards splurges on real estate, especially in the tropical paradise that is Hawaii, where he’s started raising cattle.
Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have also invested in childhood education and medical research.
Most recently, he showed off a 7-foot-tall statue of Chan that he had commissioned.
Zuckerberg is known for driving relatively inexpensive cars like an Acura TSX and a Honda Fit, or his signature Volkswagen. He’s been spotted driving a black Volkswagen Golf GTI, a car that he bought well after making his fortune, that has a starting MSRP of a bit over $30,000. Zuckerberg also has a sports car: an Italian Pagani Huayra that sells for upwards of $1 million. The Facebook owner posted a photo of what appeared to be two refurbished vintage Ford Broncos, one baby blue and one black, with the caption “his and hers.” However, their price is unknown.

In 2011, he bought a 5,000-square-foot home in Palo Alto for $7 million. He’s since tricked it out with a “custom-made artificially intelligent assistant.” As per The Wall Street Journal, he later spent an additional $43 million on four homes surrounding the original residence in Crescent Park. Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, reportedly paid $10 million for the 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom home. In 2022, Zuck sold it in an off-market sale for $31 million, making it the biggest residential real estate deal in San Francisco at the time. In 2014, the billionaire’s real-estate portfolio jumped the Pacific when he spent $100 million on two properties on the island of Kaua’i: the Kahu’aina Plantation, a 357-acre former sugarcane plantation, and Pila’a Beach, a 393-acre property with a white-sand beach.
In 2021, he spent $53 million on nearly 600 acres of land on Kauai and later, he purchased 110 more acres of land nearby for $17 million. The Wired reported that he was building a 5,000-square-foot underground bunker at his Hawaii compound, complete with features like an escape hatch and a seemingly “blast-resistant door.” He’s been photographed riding a $12,000 hydrofoil in the ocean off Kaua’i and practices shooting arrows and throwing spears on his property.

Zuck shelled out for two lakefront properties on Lake Tahoe, which cost a combined $59 million. One of the houses, called the Brushwood Estate, spans 5,233 square feet on six acres of land. The property features a guest house and a private dock. Between his two Lake Tahoe properties, Zuckerberg owns about 600 feet of private shoreline on Lake Tahoe’s west shore. When Zuckerberg buys properties, he tends to buy the other homes surrounding it for privacy reasons, just as he did in Palo Alto.
He also has been spotted on the Dutch-built, 118-meter megayacht, Launchpad time and again.
