Following reports that Prince Harry is interested in reconciling with his wife (and perhaps even in relocating to the UK), despite his wife’s hesitation, a new claim says Kate Middleton reached out to her estranged sister-in-law Meghan Markle in hopes of reuniting their family.

“William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring their children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far,” royal commentator and expert Tom Quin claimed.

The expert says that Markle is the problem, as she’s not open to bringing her kids back to the UK after the family moved to California in 2021 at the height of their feud with the royal family, which includes Markle’s allegations she was severely mistreated by the royals as well as the media while living in England.

“There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK,” Quinn continued, which seems bolstered by the fact that Meghan and her two kids remained in the U.S. when Harry traveled back to the U.K. following his father King Charles’ cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

Middleton has also been dealing with a health crisis, which may explain her and William’s motivation to make things right with Harry and Meghan. After disappearing from the spotlight, causing confusion and concern from the public, Middleton announced she, too, is dealing with cancer and undergoing treatment. Few details have been given about the type of cancer the duchess is currently battling.

King Charles Is Reportedly Hoping To Reconcile With Prince Harry

King Charles is reportedly anxious to reconcile with Harry and Meghan, as well, as he undergoes undisclosed treatment for his cancer. The king has continued making public appearances, including over Easter, despite his condition.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, royal expert Katie Nicholl provided valuable perspective on the current state of their relationship and Harry’s response to the news of his father’s illness.

“His father personally telephoned him to inform him of his cancer diagnosis, [and] Harry jumped on the overnight flight from Los Angeles,” she explained.

“One could only imagine that it would have been an emotional reunion,” Nicholl said referring to Harry’s solo trip to the U.K. “Because they haven’t seen each other since the King’s coronation, and then they didn’t get to spend very much time together at all.”

Claiming King Charles “desperately wants to reconcile with Harry,” especially so he can get to know his two grandkids, Nicholl continued, “The king would have been hugely relieved and comforted by the fact that Harry flew over. But however brief that meeting may have been, I think it’s absolutely fundamental and important and healing the rift between father and son.”

With the royals reportedly pushing for a reconciliation, perhaps it’s only a matter of time before Markle comes around to the idea of returning to the U.K. with her and Harry’s kids, even if only for a brief visit.
