Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have hit back at claims that the Duchess of Sussex is disliked and losing industry clout in Hollywood.

A report in the Daily Mail had claimed that the pair were snubbed from a huge Emmy party hosted by Meghan’s powerful agent Ari Emmanuel after his agency failed to stop a highly damaging story from surfacing which called the Duchess a ”dictator in high heels.”

In the story, a source told the Hollywood Reporter: “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice.

“They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person—no airs at all—but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”

Allies of the pair however have dismissed the claims as inaccurate and exaggerated whilst Harry and Meghan’s team have labelled them as false.

One source told the Daily Beast: “These quotes were fabricated by someone lacking knowledge of our company. The Duke and Duchess work from Montecito, and we’re based in Hollywood.

“They likely think we’re all in the same office and that this quote would fly, but the circumstances don’t even allow for it.

“If she’s ‘marching around’ and ‘barking orders’ no Archewell employee could factually claim that. It’s total nonsense.”

High profile departures of staff have seen the couple blamed for being bad bosses.

Last month, a top aide to the Duke of Sussex left his role after just three months after mutually agreeing he was not the right fit.

Josh Kettler took up the post of chief of staff in May before the Sussexes’ tour to Nigeria but left prior to them heading to tour Colombia following a trial period.

Meghan has in the past dismissed bullying allegations including following the departure of Jason Knauf who claimed that she “always had someone in her sights.”
