NBA – Jayson Tatum’s questionable outing on the Warriors: “They’re all going to…
Arriving in the NBA in 2017, Jayson Tatum experienced the end of the Warriors dynasty and even lost to them in the 2022 Finals. He therefore seems well placed to speak about the franchise but did not put everything the world agrees with his opinion concerning it.
Given the tough competition in recent years in the NBA, it’s no surprise that many current stars have still not won a single title. Jayson Tatum is notably part of this list and can blame the Warriors. After all, the latter deprived him of his first career championship ring during the 2022 Finals which remain bitter for the Celtics and their fans.
Jayson Tatum’s controversial opinion on Warriors legends
Drafted in 2017, Tatum didn’t have to wait until his fifth season in the league to see Golden State hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy. The Californian franchise was also crowned at the end of its rookie season, at a time when Kevin Durant was still playing there. According to JT, the latter therefore deserves to see his jersey retired in the Bay, just like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green… and Andre Iguodala:
No question. 35, 30, 11, 23 and 9 all going in the rafters https://t.co/EgBVVbnafY

The question does not even place itself. Whether it’s numbers 35, 30, 11, 23 or 9, they’re all going to end up on the ceiling (of Chase Center)
In all likelihood, the first four jerseys cited by Tatum should indeed remain in posterity with the Dubs. On the other hand, the Iguodala case is debated, just like that of other players who should also be entitled to such an honor according to Internet users:
LOVE Iguodala as an all-time great role player for the warriors, but you just can’t give jersey retirement to role players. You just can’t (unless you’re the Celtics who love to glaze the whole 60s 10-rings roster). Everyone else def will get their jersey retired.

I LOVE Iguodala and consider him one of the best all-time role players, but you can’t take off the role players jersey. On the other hand, everyone else deserves it.
22 & 5 will be there soon 👀

22 (Andrew Wiggins) and 5 (Kevon Looney) will be there soon too 👀
For Jayson Tatum, the retirement of the jerseys of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala should not be the subject of the slightest debate in Golden State. An opinion that is not necessarily unanimous among fans.
