The Atlanta-based model, who previously dated rapper RX Peso, has frequently been spotted in Offset’s company – and she has now set her Instagram account to private

Rapper Offset seems to be moving on. Five months after his estranged wife Cardi B filed for divorce, the “Clout” artist was spotted cosying up to model Melanie Jayda on New Year’s Eve in Dubai, per TMZ. The 33-year-old, who was in the Middle East for three shows, starting on December 31, was quite the big spender, taking his rumoured new flame to the Chanel store and allegedly being seen with purchases worth US$100,000. The two stepped out again on the first day of the new year.

Additionally, videos circulating online from one of ’Set’s concerts show him kissing a woman, presumably Jayda, mid-performance. Per TMZ sources, the pair have been seeing each other for weeks and the Migos rapper “really digs her vibe, her style, and her company”. However, neither party has confirmed or denied a relationship.

Meanwhile, his soon-to-be-ex-wife gave birth to their youngest child, a girl, on September 7. The former couple also share daughter Kulture, six and son Wave, three. The two are in an acrimonious divorce, rife with cheating allegations and online beef. Most recently, Cardi pressed him to “f*** off and sign the [divorce] papers TODAY” in a heated exchange on X, whereas Offset accused her of being “worried about d***” and “single and miserable”. He asserted that he would sign the divorce papers only if she agreed to share custody of their children. Their mother, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper, is pushing for primary custody.

So, who is the woman who has apparently found love with Offset, even as he’s going through such a highly publicised split?

Not much information is available about Melanie Jayda. However, we know from the Daily Mail that she is a model based in Atlanta. Jayda has 10,600 followers on her Instagram account, indicating her rising influencer status. But she now appears to have set the account to private.

Offset is not the first rapper Jayda has been linked with romantically. Per celebrity gossip source Sweet Tea the Blog, she apparently dated Zaion Sharif Martinez, or rapper RX Peso, previously.

She’s a Christian

Based on her social media activity, Jayda appears to be a woman of strong Christian faith. She has a cross emoticon on her Instagram biography and in some of her pictures posted on Threads, where she has roughly 1,000 followers at the time of writing, she can be seen wearing a crucifix. She has also made several spiritual posts on the platform. One reads: “When you have God on your side, you can’t lose,” while in another she writes, “Started my week off right going to church.”
