Hugh Jackman as Wolverine with The Fantastic Four

Multiple Marvel actors who played superheroes before the Marvel Cinematic Universe become a special iteration of the Fantastic Four in new artwork. After finally regaining the character rights following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, the MCU timeline is getting ready to introduce the Fantastic Four characters in the ever-growing franchise. The Fantastic Four reboot will star Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Marvel’s First Family as they become core players in the MCU.

The MCU’s take on the Fantastic Four characters will be the third big-screen incarnation of the team, following 20th Century Fox’s previous live-action portrayals. As the Fantastic Four has been tackled in many forms through the comics, Art of Time Travel shared new art where they brought together Marvel actors from the 2000s superhero movies as The New Fantastic Four.

This iteration of the team is based on The New Fantastic Four comic book series that was published in 2022 by Peter David. The New Fantastic Four artwork includes the following actors who appeared as Wolverine, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and Hulk in their respective film franchises, including appearances in the MCU:

Could Future Fantastic Four Sequels Explore Alternative Versions Of The Team?

Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and Hulk as the new Fantastic Four.

The MCU’s The Fantastic Four movie will mark the end of a long wait for the audience as Marvel’s First Family finally gets to have their time to shine in the franchise. Given the focus on the iconic team will take place in not just a different time period but an alternative universe, the MCU will likely spend at least a few projects only highlighting this new iteration of the Fantastic Four. However, that doesn’t mean potential The Fantastic Four sequels couldn’t explore variant versions of the team.

If The Fantastic Four 2 were to happen, it likely wouldn’t be until after the conclusion of The Multiverse Saga. Even if it weren’t part of The Multiverse Saga, it would be intriguing to see how Marvel Studios tackle alternative interpretations of those characters, given the rich history of the Fantastic Four in the comics. It would also be fun to see the new actors getting to interact with multiverse versions of the Fantastic Four, even in worlds where the line-up is vastly different from the classic formation.

Even the concept of The New Fantastic Four version of the team with Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, and Hulk would be a major treat to see in live-action. Another approach for them would be to feature The New Fantastic Four in the upcoming season of What If…?, as it would likely be easier to handle this concept in animation. But for now, the world can look forward to finally meeting The Fantastic Four in the MCU in 2025 as the reboot gets closer to its release date.
