After wrapping a publicity tour for his latest movie, Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Alan Ritchson is back in Canada to finish production on Reacher Season 3. New photos have been shared online following his return to set, which tease a possible Season 3 fight scene.
Four set photos from Reacher Season 3 were recently posted on the social media platform X, showing Ritchson filming in Millbrook, Ontario. While not much can be pulled from the images, besides the same shiny black car appearing in each one, Ritchson does appear to be holding the shaft of an unknown yard tool, which was seemingly taken from the storefront in the final photo. While purely speculative, it’s possible that a fight scene is being filmed for Reacher Season 3 that finds Ritchson’s title character looking for and grabbing a makeshift weapon.
Reacher was secretly renewed ahead of its Season 2 premiere last year, with Ritchson revealing in December 2023 that production was already underway on Season 3. At the time of writing, it is unknown how many more days of production remain on Reacher Season 3. In February 2024, Ritchson told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that they were “nearing completion of Season 3.” The actor has also shared on Instagram that he has already begun filming on his new movie, the action-comedy Playdate with Kevin James, which seems to suggest that production on Reacher Season 3 must be close to wrapping.
Reacher Will Adapt Lee Child’s Persuader
Season 3 of Reacher will adapt the fan-favorite novel Persuader, which is set in Maine and follows the title character going undercover to rescue an informant being held by a haunting foe from his past. Maria Sten, who appeared in the first two seasons, is set to return as Frances Neagley, while new additions to the cast include Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club), Sonya Cassidy (The Man Who Fell to Earth), Brian Tee (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows), Johnny Berchtold (The Passenger), Roberto Montesinos (Father Stu), and Daniel David Stewart (For All Mankind).
Reacher Is One of Prime Video’s Most-Watched Shows
Reacher has been hugely successful for Prime Video, with the action drama series ranking as the #1 title on the streamer across all movies and series worldwide for 2023. Ritchson has also earned near-unanimous praise from fans for his portrayal of the titular drifter/former U.S. Army Military Police Major across both seasons of the action drama series.
The first season of Reacher was released in its entirety on Feb. 4, 2022, adapting the first Jack Reacher novel, Killing Floor. The second season adapted the eleventh novel, Bad Luck and Trouble, and was released weekly from Dec. 15, 2023, to Jan. 19, 2024.
The first two seasons of Reacher are available to stream on Prime Video.
