Royal family decides to ‘ignore’ Harry and Meghan Markle. Now the focus will be on…

King Charles and Queen Camilla have decided to shift their royal strategy to prioritise the younger generation of royals through 2030, according to Palace sources cited by media reports. “The focus is now on moving away from the Sussexes and highlighting the younger members of the royal family,” a source told the New York Post.

Summer strategy at Balmoral

The King and Queen have spent their summer at Balmoral, concentrating on the future of the British monarchy.

King Charles recently hosted a gathering at the royal residence in Scotland where he discussed plans for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s future role within the royal family.

Absence of Prince Harry and Markle from royal discussions

The Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, her daughter Zara Tindall, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were present at Balmoral for the discussions, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were notably absent from this summer’s royal gathering.

‘Younger members as key assets’

The palace source noted that King Charles and Queen Camilla have a clear strategy of advancing the younger members of the royal family as key assets. King Charles is acutely aware that this younger generation is vital for the future of the monarchy and is focused on securing its legacy for the Wales era, said the source.

King considering unofficial roles

Sources revealed that, in addition to evaluating the line of succession, King Charles is considering establishing unofficial roles for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor, her brother James Wessex, and the Tindall children. The future of the royal family depends not only on the Wales family but also on other prominent members with significant profiles, according to sources.

Prince Harry’s position at risk

According to media reports, Prince Harry’s position as fifth in line to the throne could be at risk following his renouncement of British residency in April. King Charles is considering distancing himself from the Sussexes and possibly removing them from the line of succession, said sources close to the palace.
