After Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland, Selena Gomez Could Soon Share a Screen With This Marvel Icon if ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Cast’s One Wish Comes True

Steve Martin, co-star of Selena Gomez in the iconic 2021 series Only Murders in the Building, wants MCU star Ryan Reynolds to make a cameo!

Iconic singer and actress Selena Gomez has done some work with stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years. The actress has also continued her work in the iconic 2021 series Only Murders in the Building.

With the 4th season on the verge of release, it seems that the show will go on and Selena Gomez has a particular demand. One of the cast members of Only Murders in the Building stated that he would like to work with Deadpool fame Ryan Reynolds.

Selena Gomez Might Just Star With One More MCU Actor

In 2020, Gomez worked alongside veteran actor Robert Downey Jr. and MCU star Tom Holland in the film Dolittle. Although Gomez and Holland provided the voices for their on-screen characters, the trio worked together for several months for the film.

On the other hand, the singer is busy with her work in the 2021 series Only Murders in the Building. The show has received critical acclaim and worldwide fame for just being plain awesome.

In an interview with GamesRadar, Steve Martin, who portrays one of the lead roles in Only Murders in the Building alongside Selena Gomez, revealed that he would love to make Ryan Reynolds a part of their series.

[Talking about Ryan Reynolds’ cameo] that would be great.

With the number of cameos that Reynolds has in his recently released MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine, it seems that the Green Lantern actor might not say no to the offer.

However, Selena Gomez’s love for the MCU runs deeper than just Ryan Reynolds or Tom Holland. The actress has often talked about her dream role in acting and her inspiration is none other than Scarlett Johansson.

Selena Gomez Is Inspired By Scarlett Johansson

It was the year 2013 when Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson starred in a Broadway production called Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The actress received critical acclaim for her iconic performance in the show.

In an interview with Variety, Gomez revealed that she once watched Scarlett Johansson in the role of Maggie, and she has been mesmerized ever since. The singer reported that that would be one role that she would love to play in due time.

But I saw Scarlett Johansson in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” and I found it profound and beautiful. I don’t think it would be a big production, but I would love to dive into a role like that.

Fans can only hope that Gomez gets her dream role soon since her profession as an actor has already been getting attention ever since she was a child artist in Wizards of Waverly Place.

Selena Gomez can be seen at her finest in the 2021 series Only Murders in the Building, which received a rating of 8.1/10 on IMDB and a whopping 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

With 4 seasons to its name, the iconic show is available to stream on Hulu in the U.S.
