The Royal Family’s Secretive Woman Bears an Astonishing Resemblance to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Charlotte

Although she rarely appears in public, Lady Sarah Chatto, the daughter of Princess Margaret, consistently garners special attention whenever she attends royal events. Interestingly, her appearance has often been noted for its striking resemblance to that of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Born into a prestigious royal family, Lady Sarah Chatto, 60, is the daughter of Princess Margaret (the younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II) and photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones. She married Daniel Chatto and has two sons, Sam (28) and Arthur (25). Unlike the glittering life of royalty, Lady Sarah Chatto has chosen a quiet and modest lifestyle with her small family.

Despite her low profile, Lady Sarah Chatto becomes the center of attention whenever she makes rare public appearances, not only for her elegance but also for her striking resemblance to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Many have commented that Lady Sarah Chatto bears a strong resemblance to Princess Charlotte, but the resemblance between her and her aunt, the late Queen Elizabeth II, is truly astonishing. “Charlotte really looks like Sarah, and Sarah looks like the late Queen,” remarked one royal fan.

It is known that the late Queen Elizabeth II was very fond of Sarah. Their bond grew even stronger after the passing of Princess Margaret in 2002. The late Queen often allowed her niece to accompany her to Craigowan Lodge, her favorite retreat in Aberdeenshire, during late summer each year.

Not only was she close to the late Queen, but Lady Sarah also has a very close relationship with King Charles. The two are said to share a love of painting and often spend their free time together painting at Balmoral whenever possible. During King Charles’ wedding to his first wife, Princess Diana, Lady Sarah served as the chief bridesmaid. She is also the godmother of Prince Harry, Lady Louise (daughter of Prince Edward), and Rose (daughter of the Duke of Gloucester).

Although Lady Sarah Chatto is quite reserved, she is an important member of the British Royal Family and maintains close family ties. She is present at most of the Royal Family’s major events.

Lady Sarah’s two sons, Sam and Arthur, both attended the prestigious Eton College before enrolling at the University of Edinburgh. While Arthur is currently serving in the Royal Marines and has a passion for fitness, Sam, the eldest and 29th in line to the throne, is pursuing a professional career in sculpture. In an interview with The Daily Mail in 2019, Sam shared, “I work with clay to create functional wood-fired ceramics and sculpture from my home and studio in West Sussex. I’ve always had a close relationship with making things, spending much of my childhood creating landscape models and imaginary sculptures, which naturally led me to clay in my later years at school.”
