Henry Cavill and his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso are stepping out in Italy, about six months after PEOPLE confirmed the couple had welcomed their first child together.

Cavill, 42, and Viscuso — a former My Super Sweet 16 star turned television executive, whom he has been dating since 2021 — stepped out arm-in-arm at the Taormina Film Festival in Taormina, Italy on Wednesday, June 11. The former Superman actor wore a classic black tuxedo for the occasion, while Viscuso opted for a floor-length pale orange dress paired with open-toed shoes.

The couple’s rare public outing comes months after a source told PEOPLE in January that Cavill and Viscuso had welcomed their first baby together. While they have not shared any details regarding their child’s birth, including the baby’s name, sex or birthdate, the pair was photographed walking together with a baby stroller in Australia in photos published by The Daily Mail on Jan. 18. Cavill was in the country at that time to film the upcoming movie Voltron.

Cavill and Viscuso went public with their relationship back in April 2021 when they shared a photo of themselves playing chess together on Instagram days after they were photographed taking a walk with Cavill’s dog Kal in London. The couple made their red carpet debut together in October 2022 at the premiere of his movie Enola Holmes 2, and Cavill first confirmed that he and Viscuso were expecting a child together in April 2024 while speaking with Access Hollywood at the New York City premiere of his movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

“I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it,” he said at the time. “I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”

Cavill celebrated Father’s Day for the first time as a father-to-be on June 16, 2024 when he asked his Instagram followers for tips on parenting.

He and couple rarely post photos together on social media; prior to their Italian film festival trip; they most recently stepped out in Australia for the 2025 AACTA Awards on Feb. 7.

Cavill appeared in three movies in 2024, including the spy movies Argylleand Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare; he also made a cameo as a version of Hugh Jackman’s X-Men character Wolverine in last year’s superhero hit Deadpool & Wolverine. Cavill is next expected to reunite with his Ungentlemanly Warfare filmmaker Guy Ritchie for an upcoming movie titled In the Grey, among a number of other projects he has in the works.
