While the first season of The Rings of Power was primarily filmed in New Zealand, Season 2 features magical landscapes of the United Kingdom and the Canary Islands as shooting locations – aerial shots of the UK’s stunning locales have been used to bring the Middle-earth landscape to life, and numerous scenes were shot in studios and enhanced with VFX.

Apart from Charlie Vickers as Sauron, Morfydd Clark returns as Galadriel alongside Robert Aramayo as Elrond, Owain Arthur as Prince Durin IV, Ismael Cruz Córdova as Arondir, Ema Horvath as Eärien, Benjamin Walker as High King Gil-Galad, Peter Mullan as King Durin III, Markella Kavenagh as Nori Brandyfoot, Maxim Baldry as Isildur and Sophia Nomvete as Princess Disa among others.

England and other parts of the UK have served as an important filming location for many fantasy fiction movies and series including iconic projects like House of the Dragon (2022). The dramatic landscapes of England serve as the perfect backdrop for historical projects and are often the first choice for makers.
A report by Dexerto states that the crew extensively shot at Bovingdon Airfield Studios, Chesham Road in Hertfordshire. A popular studio used in movies like Deadpool 3 (2024), and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), the construction of Bovingdon dates back to World War II.
Apart from this historical studio, England has set the stage for many scenes in The Rings of Power Season 2.

The creators of The Rings of Power Season 2 also filmed at Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago. The crew reportedly stayed in Tenerife’s San Juan de la Rambla town for around five weeks during the shoot, making it an important shooting location for The Rings of Power Season 2.
