Jake Paul has a target on his back since beating former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson at 58-years-old.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer made a name for himself fighting former UFC fighters, most of which were much older and smaller than him. When he stepped in against Tommy Fury, his first opponent that could be considered a traditional boxer, he lost on points.

The Jake Paul train kept rolling and he put together one of the most watched sporting events of this century when facing ‘Iron’ Mike, who retired back in 2005 on back-to-back losses.

Tyson’s looked every bit his age in the ring and was largely uncompetitive, with Paul winning a clear unanimous decision after eight rounds and even admitting that he ‘held back’ his punches to avoid a dangerous knockout.

Former heavyweight world champion Shannon Briggs – who hails from the same area in Brooklyn as Tyson – recently took to Instagram to call the 27-year-old out.

“You wanna run it, or just run? Mike [Tyson] wanted the money I just want [blood]. Let’s go champ!”

Briggs has previously expressed an interest in ‘ending’ the crossover scene that he ‘feels responsible’ for creating due to once training the Paul brothers.

“I feel responsible. That’s why Mike was mad at me when we did the slap boxing thing, he was like ‘you trained Jake and Logan Paul.’ And I didn’t understand at first, but YouTube boxing… I feel responsible. I started it, not I gotta end it. I gotta hurt one of them. All of them.

Whilst Paul’s next move is as yet unknown, he is expected to face someone closer to his own age. A rematch with Fury seems a good move.
