The Insider said: The Dinner Plans Meghan is understood to have been angling for an invite back in January when she was reported interested in being invited at a star-studded dinner hosted by Brad Pitt where Hollywood royalty mingal.  **Buckingham Palace** or **Windsor Castle**, and Prince Philip retiring to **Wood Farm** on the **Sandringham Estate**. For years, royal watchers wondered why the couple, who had been married for over seven decades, chose to live apart during their twilight years.


**Charles’ Explanation:** King Charles explained that the arrangement was not a reflection of any discord or estrangement between his parents, but rather a practical decision based on their personal preferences and needs. According to Charles, Prince Philip, who had officially retired from public duties in 2017, preferred the quiet, rural life at Wood Farm. He emphasized that the Queen fully supported Philip’s decision, recognizing that they had different needs in their later years. “**They maintained a deep bond and spoke regularly, but they both valued their space and individual pursuits,**” Charles added.
