Both Justin Bieber and Ben Hollingsworth dropped gloves with Jeremy Roenick and PK Subban during a charity hockey game this past weekend.

The singer and the Virgin River actor got into a fight with the former professional hockey players at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb 23. The act of dropping gloves is allowed in hockey as long as the players actually dropped their gloves and sticks while physically brawling.

Justin and Jeremy grabbled at each other as they were pulled apart. When they were separated by other players, Justin went and picked up his dropped gear. After getting his equipment, he skated near the audience and motioned for them to make some noise.

Ben and PK’s altercation on the other hand seemed less playful and more intense than Justin and Jeremy as they tussled. Their tussling led to PK with his back on the ice.

Justin, Ben, Jeremy and PK took part in Skate for LA Strong as they evoked the hockey spirit. Skate for LA Strong was a charity fundraising event to support the recovery efforts as well as victims and first responders of the devastating wildfires in Southern California.

They did that with a hockey game that put first responders, celebrities and NHL alumni in teams to compete. The game was held by the the Los Angeles Kings and the National Hockey League at Crypto.com Arena in L.A. The game was a four-team exhibition tournament that was Hockey Hall of Famer and Kings president Luc Robitaille had the idea for. The teams were named by colors like Black, Red, Blue and White.

Each team was coached by a star-studded duo such as Vince Vaughn and Cobie Smulders (Red); Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg (Black); Danny DeVito and Al Michaels (Blue); and Hannah Stocking and Andrew Whitworth (White).

Vince and Cobie’s team won their two games, thus winning the tournament. Justin was on Team Black and Ben was on Team White.

When asked by NHL journalist Jackie Redmond a question about what this charity game meant to him, Justin said, “This is everything. I mean we’re looking to have a good time and show when we come together, good things happen.”

“This was an amazing celebration of hockey and first responders. It was a lot of fun, seeing everyone that showed up and some of the L.A. firefighters playing was a good feeling,” Jeremy said about his experience at the charity game.
