Josh Duhamel is opening up about why moving to a remote cabin in Minnesota has been one of the BEST decisions he’s ever made for his children. The 52-year-old actor, known for his roles in All My Children and Ransom Canyon, shares that his 11-year-old son, Axl, and 15-month-old Shepherd are learning life lessons they could NEVER get in Los Angeles – and it’s all thanks to the rugged, off-the-grid lifestyle they’re embracing!

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Duhamel revealed that the kids are getting hands-on experience with survival skills, from cutting firewood to figuring out how to fix a frozen septic tank. “These little lessons are what will stick with them forever,” says Josh. “You won’t find them doing that in L.A.!”

But it’s not just the survival skills. Josh explains that living 40 miles from civilization has drastically lowered his blood pressure and given him a whole new appreciation for the simple things. “It’s not about the phone. It’s not about anything else. It’s about survival, and that’s the beauty of it.”
