Virgin River viewers are left scratching their heads after the latest season’s finale threw in a curveball.

In the final episode titled The Big Day, viewers watched Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) finally say “I do”, but not without some unexpected drama.

Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) is nowhere to be found, raising alarms, while Brie (Zibby Allen) and Brady’s (Benjamin Hollingsworth) storyline takes a wild turn. Brady’s new flame Lark (Elise Gatien) turns out to be a con artist who bolts after hearing Brady’s declaration of love for Brie and emptying his bank account.

To add to the chaos, Brie’s current partner Mike (Marco Grazzini) proposes post-ceremony, despite being aware of her recent tryst with Brady. This revelation has fans floored and one perplexed fan took their bewilderment to Reddit, posting: “How did Mike know?” They added, “Out of all the finale cliff hangers, this one bothers me the most.”

The fan questioned how Mike discovered the secret and pondered whether it was through Kaia (Kandyse McClure), sensing the tension, or another means, concluding, “I think that’s why he wants to lock her down asap. The whole thing is a mess.”

Season seven is set to hurl a slew of challenges at Mel and Jack, including the potential of taking on Marley’s (Rachel Drance) baby and possibly Charmaine’s twins if things take a turn for the worse. However, the Brie-Brady-Mike-Lark love tangle remains a hot topic, with viewers eagerly anticipating the outcome of these relationships.
