ROYAL TALKS: King Charles’ and Prince Harry’s aides ‘meet in secret peace summit as pair may resolve bitter feud’

KING Charles’ and Prince Harry’s senior aides have reportedly held a secret peace summit together aiming to resolve the bitter royal feud.

A private meeting held last week has been hailed as the first step towards a “rapprochement process” between Harry, 40, and the rest of the Royal Family, sources claim.

Both men’s aides held secret peace talks at a London private members’ club, according to the Mail on Sunday.

At least three representatives from either side were seen speaking at the Royal Over-Seas League which sits just three minutes from Clarence House.

It is unclear which side initiated the summit.

The British monarchy has spent years dealing with the fallout of PrinceHarry’s decision to marry former actress Meghan Markle after the two hit out at the family and stepped down as senior royals.

Harry, the son of Charles, has remained distant ever since he moved to the US alongside the mother to his two young children.

His relationship with the King and brother William have both drastically fractured since 2022.

The Sun even revealed last week how Charles believes Prince Harry is totally “whipped” by Meghan Markle, according to royal expert Esther Krauke.

The comments come after Harry said a reconciliation with his family lays in Charles’ hands.

In his bombshell BBC interview the Duke even said: “I would like to get my father and brother back.”

And it now appears that Harry and his father are taking the first stepstowards a happy reconciliation.

Insiders say the recent talks are the strongest sign in years that both sides are determined to resolve the bitter Windsor feud.

A source said: “There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years.

“There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.”

Harry was represented by his chief communications officer and head of his household in Montecito, California, Meredith Maines.

She is said to have flown in from Los Angeles specially for the talks.

Liam Maguire, head of the Sussexes’ PR team in the UK, was also present.

The King was represented by his communications secretary Tobyn Andreae.

The details of the conversation have remained private with Ms Maines jetting back to the US as soon as the meeting ended.

Another sign of Harry attempting to extend the olive branch back to his family came last month.

The Duke is said to have invited King Charles and William to the next Invictus games in 2027, according to insiders.

But the invite is set to clash with Queen Camilla’s 80th birthday.

The recent royal developments follow years of pain since Harry asked to step down from the Royal Family in 2020.

Harry opened up a number of wounds when he spoke to US talk show host Oprah Winfrey alongside his new wife about how Meghan was allegedly treated during her time as part of the family.

Meghan claimed she was left suicidal due to how she was treated as Harry said that questions were raised about the colour of their child’s skin colour by other royals.

The Prince would also publish his bombshell book Spare in 2023 after moving to California which stirred up further controversies.

Ever since, Harry has been left out in the cold by his fellow hardworking royals.

He reportedly hasn’t seen Charles in years with his last direct communication with brother William coming in 2022.

The feuding brothers reportedly didn’t even speak to each other despite standing “virtually back to back” among mourners at their uncle’s memorial service last year.

“I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile”, Prince Harry

Growing up, Wills and Harry shared many of the same friends who were part of their close, tight-knit circle.

But their relationship took a sour turn after Harry lobbed vile allegations against the Prince of Wales in his memoir Spare.

In the book, he claimed William had physically attacked him and knocked him to the floor in 2019 and made insulting comments about Meghan.

Earlier this year, the Duke was dealt another major blow as he lost his security bid to stay protected in the UK.

He begged “my life is stake” as he appealed against the withdrawal of his publicly-funded security operations whenever he was back home.

After the decision was announced, Harry publicly moaned it was now “impossible” to bring his family to the UK.

Adding that it is “sad” he won’t be able to show his children his homeland.

In the interview with the BBC, Harry went on to say: “Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book.

“Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things.

“But you know, I would love reconciliation with my family.

“And I said, life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”
