The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will premiere on Netflix on Feb. 11, 2025. This new animated movie is set within the same universe as the live-action Witcher series on Netflix. However, American voice actor Doug Cockle is reprising his role as Geralt for the upcoming movie. Cockle played the titular hero in the video game trilogy developed by CD Projekt RED (Cyberpunk 2077) from 2007 to 2015.
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep Is Coming to Netflix Next Month
The upcoming animated movie is based on the short story “A Little Sacrifice” in Sword of Destiny by original The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski. It takes place between Episodes 5 and 6 of The Witcher Season 1. “Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter, is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village and finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople,” the official description of Sirens of the Deep reads. “He must count on friends — old and new — to solve the mystery before the hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into an all-out war.” Netflix released a nearly three-minute trailer for the film during Geeked Week 2024 that highlights the relationship between Geralt and Jaskier.
