WARNING: This article contains spoilers from the first two episodes of Agatha All Along.
After confirming who the dead body was in Agatha All Along episode 1, the showrunner for the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe series explains why their face was never revealed in the premiere.
In a new TVLine interview, Jac Schaeffer, who serves as the showrunner on Agatha All Along, was asked why Wanda Maximoff’s face wasn’t shown in episode 1, as the MCU TV show confirmed Scarlet Witch’s grim fate. Schaeffer, who also created WandaVision, made it clear that there was never a plan to have Elizabeth Olsen’s face be revealed in Agatha All Along episode 1, as she shared the following:
You know, that’s a really hard question to answer… It was never the plan to show her face — both stylistically, and because this show isn’t her story, [it] was really about [how] when the body is turned over, the camera’s on Agatha’s face. That’s really where our attention is, and where the focus of the show is.
