Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher will finally meet his match against a 7’2” foe on season 3 of Reacher on Prime Video
Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher cuts an imposing figure. So much of what makes his performance on Prime Video’s Reacher show charming is that the protagonist is this massive wall of muscle walking around doing Sherlock Holmes things. And while it’s been endlessly satisfying seeing Ritchson’s Reacher pick off scores of goons foolish enough to cross him, season 3 of the show is set to introduce his biggest challenge yet. Literally.
Season 3 of Reacher will release on Prime Video on February 20, 2025. In a teaser trailer for the upcoming season, we can catch glimpses of Reacher’s fight against a 7’2” enemy played by Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters. If Richters looks familiar, that’s because he had a minor role in the 2021 Black Widow movie. For context, if you thought the actor who played The Mountain on Game of Thrones (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) was tall, be advised that Richters is 5 inches taller than Björnsson. You can see Richters in action in the teaser trailer below.
This season of Reacher is based off of Lee Child’s book, Persuader, which is the seventh novel in the Jack Reacher series. Since we’re about two months out from when Reacher season 3 debuts, you’ve got enough time to head down to your local library or bookstore and pick up a copy of Persuader.
If we’ve learned anything about Jack Reacher in the first two seasons of the show, it’s that he doesn’t just use might to make right. Sure, he’s super tough and strong, but he’s whip smart and pays close attention to details. I’m willing to bet that when he’s faced with an enemy who can overwhelm him in the strength department, he can use his smarts to get gain the upper hand.
Reacher season 3 will release on Prime Video on February 20, 2025.
