Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remained silent during Father’s Day and made no mention of the special day.

The Duke of Sussex opted against sending a public message to King Charles on Sunday.

Prince Harry’s older brother Prince William made a social media post paying tribute to their father King Charles.

The Prince of Wales posted a throwback photograph of himself and his father, taken before Prince Harry was born.

The photograph was taken on June 12, 1984, shortly before Prince William’s second birthday.

The royal captioned the post: “Happy Father’s Day, Pa. W.”

On Sunday, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis made a tribute to their father in their first-ever social media message.

George, 10, Charlotte, 9 and Louis 6, wrote: “We love you, Papa. Happy Father’s Day. G, C & L.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have two children together, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Archie and Lilibet have not visited the UK since 2022. Prince Harry has made multiple trips back to London since then including two in 2024.

The King has met his granddaughter Princess Lilibet just once.

King Charles is not content with only seeing his grandchildren through video calls with Harry, according to a source.

Harry last met with King Charles in February 2024 after Buckingham Palace announced that the monarch had been diagnosed with cancer.

The source said: “The King is absolutely committed to being present in all of his grandchildren’s lives.

“He values family above everything and whatever the course of his relationship with his son he would never be content with just seeing his grandchildren on the odd video call.”
